fast4473™ has your customer complete ATF Form 4473 on a tablet in your store, one question at a time, with every required field enforced before it reaches you. You review and correct it, run the background check, and lock the form. It comes in at Standard, and Pro supports up to 25 customer sessions at once. The customer fills it in, not you
Hand them a tablet — iPad, Android, a Windows touchscreen, whatever you already have. They sign in with their last name and ZIP code. That is the whole instruction.
One question at a time. The form is paged rather than dropped on them whole. Anyone who has watched a capable adult freeze in front of the paper 4473 knows why that matters — it is a big federal document, and people make mistakes on it they would never make otherwise.
Required fields cannot be skipped. Nothing the form requires can be bypassed, so an incomplete form never reaches your counter.
The small things are handled. Middle name left blank? It asks, then enters NMN. Single initial? It asks, then adds “IO” — with the double quotes ATF requires. A ZIP code gives a dropdown of the matching cities and counties. These are exactly the fields that come back as findings.
Spanish, if you need it. The customer can work in Spanish while your side stays in English.

Your side of the form
Review before you accept. You see what they entered alongside their ID, and you confirm it yourself.
Send back one section. If they fudged a birth date, flag that section and return it. Every other field stays locked — they can fix only what you flagged, so nothing else gets broken on the way through.
A stoplight on every section. Green means the required fields are there. Yellow flags something to double-check — a date mismatch, a missing background check. Red flags a problem serious enough that you likely shouldn’t transfer. You choose how strict the system is — on the tightest setting, a red flag can block the transfer outright — but the compliance call at your counter is always yours.
Age and state rules are built in. Under-21 on a handgun, state-specific limits like Florida’s, and the exemptions that go with them. We work to keep these current as the law changes — you’re still the one responsible for getting it right at the counter.
Recertification when the transfer slips a day. If the background check delays and the customer returns later, the form needs a second signature. It tells you, and walks them through signing again without letting them alter anything.
Background checks
If you report to the FBI, GSM WebAssist fills in the LEIE portal for you — right-click, populate from the 4473 data, across all three pages, instead of retyping everything your customer already entered.
WebAssist works for states that report to the FBI. If your state runs its own point of contact, the extension does not work — with one exception, Colorado. Worth knowing before you buy rather than after.
The form handles all three allowable transfer statuses: proceed; exempt — a qualifying permit, or an approved NFA transfer; and NRP, where the FBI gave no response inside three business days.
Multiple handguns
Sell more than one handgun to the same person inside five business days and a 3310.4 is due by close of business. Fast 3310 generates it, pre-filled, leaving you a couple of fields.
If your state borders Mexico and the 3310.12 rifle form applies to you, that is included automatically — you do not have to know to ask.
What happens to the completed form
Be plain about this, because it matters and vendors are vague about it. Gun StoreMaster generates your completed 4473 as a PDF on demand from your records. It does not keep that PDF as a stored file, and there is no ATF auditor login for an electronic audit of your forms.
